The Inaugural Getaway Guy Virtual Open brings golfers together from across the country for a simple idea: play where you are, compete with golfers everywhere.
Each participant plays one 18-hole round at their home course (or while traveling), tracks their score using 18Birdies, and competes in a fair, handicap-based format. No flights. No set tee times. Just good golf, friendly competition, and a shared love of the game.

- Each player completes one 18-hole round during the tournament window(Feb 1-Feb 28)

📱 Handicap-Based Scoring
- Scores are tracked using 18Birdies
- A valid handicap (18Birdies or GHIN) is required
- Net scoring is used so golfers of different skill levels can compete fairly

During the tournament window(Feb 1-Feb 28) play one 18-hole round at any course — your home course or while traveling. - Use the GPS Scorecard
Start your round in 18Birdies using the GPS scorecard with handicap scoring enabled.
This ensures fair, net scoring across different courses. - Post Your Round
Complete and save your round in the app within the tournament window.
Your net score will automatically apply to the tournament leaderboard. - Check the Leaderboard
After the play window closes, scores are finalized and the leaderboard is shared with all participants. - Prizes & Giving Back: Prizes are awarded at the conclusion of the tourney and a portion of every entry supports The First Tee.
Winners and donation totals are announced shortly after the tournament ends.
